The WEFTA conferences provide a valuable platform for food scientists, PhD students and fish processing industries to present their latest research achievement and share valuable experiences in the field of aquatic food products quality and safety. Program is here.
A very important aim of the WEFTA conferences is to encourage young researchers (PhD students) to participate and present their own work. For more information on the WEFTA, see Organization and Committees. Representatives from the fish processing industries and retailers are invited to share their success stories and discuss their challenges.
Each topic includes but is not limited to the following subtopics:

Participants are kindly requested to prepare their abstracts according to the template and submit them electronically to wefta2016@pbf.hr, before the deadline date of 24th June.
The abstracts may be presented as full oral, short oral or poster presentations. Each full presentation will be limited to a maximum of twenty minutes which includes time for questions. Each short presentations will be limited to five minutes with no extra time for questions. Information on poster presentations may be found here.
The scientific committee will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors' preferences but reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation. Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation will recieve notification and information regarding their presentation, by 15th July.
Participants are invited to prepare their contributions according to the Instructions for authors. Manuscripts should be up to four (4) pages long and should be submitted electronically in their final form before paper submission deadline date of 1st December, including an abstract, no longer than 350 words. Submissions must include the title of the paper, each author's name and affiliation, the suggested topics in which the paper falls. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings with ISBN number.
